It is a country where you will find many traditional and religious people celebrating the essence and soul of every festival, throughout the year. May it be our Independence or any other day, Indians showcase the same fervor and bent towards merrymaking every time.
Likewise, the month September brings in a lot of festivals to be celebrated. Beginning with our favorite Teachers Day (हिंदी) on the 5th; which is a very special day dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. On this day, students from all around the world honor their beloved teachers by organizing activities like skits, mimicry and talent performances for them in schools and other institutions. Cards and gifts are commonly exchanged on this day to showcase respect and love for the Gurus.
This month Anant Chaturthi (हिंदी) and Indira Ekadashi (हिंदी) will be celebrated with great pomp and show on 01st and 13th respectively. Fasting will be observed on Bhadrapada Purnima (हिंदी) .
World Ozone Day (हिंदी), Engineers Day (हिंदी), International Literacy Day (हिंदी) will also be celebrated in September. This year Navakhana Festival (हिंदी) falls in September.
