Absorb Your Opponents Energy

Osho - Achrya Rajneesh

Here Amrit Sadhana quotes Osho and says the art of Ju Jitsu teaches you to absorb an opponent's energy, rather than resist K. This technique can also be used to avoid Injury while falling in today's competitive world winning has become a priority. Competition creates anxiety and makes people nervous. The more nervous they are, the more they increase their chances of failure. The mistake is that people look upon everybody as their opponent If they change the gestalt and feel that everybody is there to give them energy, their attitude will change.

Osho asks us to use technique of Ju Jitsu while interacting with people Ju means suppleness, flexibility and Jitsu meaning technique or art Ju Jitsu does not use strength against strength; it uses the opponent's strength and force of attack as a weapon against him. When somebody attacks you. you have to absorb his energy, not resist, as if he is giving energy to you. He is not the enemy, he is a friend coming to you; and when he hits you physically or verbally, much energy is released. Absorb the energy that is released from him. When he is exhausted, just by absorbing his energy you will feel stronger than ever. When someone is jealous of you or hateful, he is investing his energy in you. So instead of being angry, absorb his energy. This absorption can

be done in the heart. The mind cannot do it because it is aggressive and loves to counterattack. But the heart is like a valley; it can absorb much energy and transform it You can use the same technique in afall of any kind. Osho says: "Fall as if the earth is your mother. Fall down but dont be stiff. If you are stiff you may get a fracture. Fall

like a drunkard. You see them falling every day on the street but their bones are never fractured. These drunkards know a certain secret that you don't know. They fall without any consciousness on their part. They just fall! The earth absorbs them and they absorb the earth. So fall like a drunkard, enjoy the fall and feel friendly, intimate with the earth. Soon you will be back on your feet with more energy than ever."
