LG speaks to Farooq assures thorough investigation

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today spoke to former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah following the attack on him at a wedding function here last night and assured him that a thorough investigation would be conducted. Sources said Sinha spoke to Dr Abdullah and assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted into the attack.
“DGP Nalin Prabhat was directed to leave no stone unturned in getting to the bottom of the incident and to ensure that action follows swiftly. Senior officials were firmly instructed to guarantee airtight security for protectees,” sources said.
