Abdullah Al Baroun and Abdul Lateef Al Nesef translated and published Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata into Arabic
Right after landing in Kuwait on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met two locals, Abdullah Al Baroun and Abdul Lateef Al Nesef who translated and published Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata into Arabic.
While Al Baroun has translated both the Ramayana and the Mahabharata in Arabic, Al Nesef has published the Arabic versions of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. The Prime Minister had also spoken about both these people and their efforts in a recent edition of his monthly broadcast show “Mann Ki Baat”.
Modi’s visits abroad are often marked by Indian cultural performances and shows.
Recently, the PM had shared a post on X displaying a montage of Indian cultural resonance globally.
“Wherever I go, I see immense enthusiasm towards our history and culture, which is extremely gladdening. Here is a glimpse,” the PM had said about a post showing people singing Vande Matram in Austria, performing dandiya in Poland and the Ramayana in Laos.
