Security measures have been enhanced on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the wake of Republic Day celebrations on January 26.

J&K police, CRPF and Army are leaving no stone unturned to secure the highway, which is the lifeline of Kashmir Valley. Special units of the police have been assigned the responsibility of maintaining security in Udhampur and its surrounding areas.

These units are specially trained to detect and respond to potential security threats swiftly and effectively.

Udhampur Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai said all preparations have been made for January 26. Rehearsals have started and ground preparations have also initiated, she informed.
