Ultras release body cam footage of encounter

Militants, for the first time, have released body camera footage of an encounter. People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAAF), apparently a front for the Lashkar-e-Toiba, today released a video on the social media of the August 17 Kreeri Baramulla attack, purportedly shot by one of the attackers. The attack on a joint naka left two CRPF men and a special police officer dead. In the subsequent operation, three militants, including two top Lashkar militants and two Army men, were killed. The video shows militants attacking CRPF men with assault rifles. A security vehicle too can be seen parked nearby.

Bid to glamorise terrorism: J&K police.

A video of an attack on the CRPF at the Hyderpora bypass in Srinagar released on the eve of former PM Manmohan Singh’s visit to Srinagar in 2013 A video clip showing a CRPF party being ambushed went viral on the social media in 2016  The J&K Police called it an attempt to glamorise terrorism in order to lure the youth. “By releasing the video of the attack, #terrorists want to glamorise #terrorism. But they can’t. We replied by actions & killed 04 top cmdrs, Sajjad @ Haider & FT Taimur Khan @ Abu Usman (seen in said video/attack) & Naseer @ Sad bhai & FT Ali bhai @ Danish within 72 hours (sic),” the police tweeted.
