दिलॅ किस बाग़स दूर कर ग़ॉसिल,

अदॅ द्यवॅ फ्-वलिय यॅबर्ज़्वल  बाग़।

मरिथ मंगनय वुम्रि हॅज़ हासिल,

मोत छुय पतॅ पतॅ तहसीलदार।।

अर्थात्

मन-रूपी उद्यान से सब खरपतवार (कूड़ा-कचरा) हटा दे तब कहीं नर्गिसके सुमनों का उपवन पुष्पित होगा। मृत्यु के उपरान्त तुझ से उम्र भर की उपलब्धि की। मांग  होगी, मानो मोत तहसीलदार की तरह तेरे पीछे पड़ी है।

Root out the weeds of the garden of your heart ; then, perhaps the daffodils will blossom • Your achivements and actions will be reckoned after your death • Mind you,   death is shadowing you like a Tehsildar• (Land revenue official )
