ऑरस नेरि न मोदुर शीरै,

न्यर्वीयस नेरि न शूरा नाव।

मूर्खस पृणुन छुय हँस्तिस कशुन,

यसो मालि दान्दस ब्यहा च़ाव।।

आलू बुखारा में से मीठा रस नही निकलता। निर्वीर्य शूर नही बन सकता। मूर्ख को समझाना हाथी को खुजलाना है अर्थात् बेकार है। जिस बैल को सुस्ती और आलस्य ने धर दबाया वह काम से गया।

A plum (one of its species) will never yield a sweet  juice.One whiteout valour (virility or vigour) can never make a hero of oneself. Explaining things to a foolish one is the same as scratching an elephants back ( a vain attempt).Verily, a Bullock ovrtaken by laziness and sloth becomes utterly useless.
