I do not find any convincing reason why Narendra Modi should not become Prime Minister of India in 2019 too.

The coming Parliamentary elections are a direct battle between Narendra Modi's personal charisma clubbed with his performance during his current tenure as Prime Minister and panic-stricken and the most unprincipled coalition parties led by dynasties. While the Congress party does not appear to have strength of reaching magic figure of 272 alone or with allies, the non-starter Maha-gathbandan would only create worse scenario.

The so called opposition parties be it Congress, BSP, SP, RJD, DMK or left, are all fighting cases of corruption and their leaders who have been in power have amassed wealth totally disproportionate to their income. They were a part of all the scams which hit the country in the last 15 years.

On the contrary, the last four and a half years of NDA led by Modi ji did not get involved in any scams nor any of the family members of Modi or top leaders were seen and sighted in the corridors of power in Delhi. Instead, there are many good initiatives taken up by Modi to benefit the deserving.

India has experienced Congress led governments since 1947. Owing to massive corruption charges against the UPA-I & II, it was voted out and BJP was elected. For many decades the successive governments refrained from taking hard decisions and always tried to appease the voters at heavy economic and social costs. Now, Modi has been taking some bold decisions which will take some time to get discernible results.

Now time has come for people of India to judge the mala fide intension of the vicious coalitions going to be formed without a common minimum programme. None of the proposed coalition leader can hold a candle to upright Modi as far as individual honesty and non-corrupt rule and the progress he brought to the country as the Prime Minister are concerned. No doubt, Modi is bigger than his party and the voters fall for his leadership skills and oratory skills.

Ironically, we want everything to happen the very next day which is just impossible in a country like India where 130 crore people with heterogeneous groups. We want change in India but, unfortunately, we are not ready to change ourselves.

For example.

Government asked the poor people to open bank account so that they receive subsidy directly in their bank accounts and link Aadhar cards to their bank accounts. People took it as harassment. Government was continuously asking the citizen to get Aadhar cards, and link it to their bank accounts but people neglected it. Now Modi has made it compulsory and people started blaming him. People were cursing Indian governments for multiple indirect taxes. Government introduced GST which will take some time to settle. But people started blaming him for the short term inconvenience. Most of transactions in India are cash based which cause enormous corruption. Modi declared demonetization. Many bank accounts where suspicious transactions were noticed are under scrutiny. Now the scrutiny will take some time to conclude. But we want results next day.

The problem with Indians is that they lack national spirit. They expect a lot to happen next day but not ready to change their mindset.

Let Modi spend crores or billions, the roads will never be clean unless the Indians change their habits. People do not want to change themselves rather are happy with the Gandhi dynasty and hence are criticizing Modi.

Maybe it is a litmus test for Modi to convince the people that he is not merely a leader who makes vain promises only to forget after elections. He has to explain voters his five-year rule achievements in economic and defense fronts and in maintaining strong bilateral relations with many countries. Only pessimists say that Modi must be defeated. Yes, he has to be defeated as he is as clean as a lily and his five-years governance ran without a major scam. The country faced no major religious flare ups and he treated all religions with same respect except for the aberrations created by the fringe forces. He firmly checked the terrorist activities and many terrorists were eliminated by our brave police and ever vigilant armed forces.

He gave a clarion call 'Swatch Bharat 'and worked by adopting the principle of reform, perform and transform. He provided even to the remote villages power supply and the roads and bridges are built for the easy connectivity of States (excellent Infrastructure development).

Now the choice is clear whether we need a clean nationalist strong leader like Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister OR the power drunk rudderless coalition front without head to lead the nation.
