Hope all of you would have celebrated the festivals of Shravan Purnima, Raksha Bandan and Janma Ashtami, Zarma Satam with pomp, religiosity and tradition. It was heartening to receive reports of the Zarma Satam celebrations from across the country, including the Kashmir Valley, Jammu, Delhi NCR and every location and area where our baradari members reside. Srinagar saw a lively possession of Krsihna Lalla. Similarly, there are reports of colorful and enthusiastic possessions with jhankis in Jammu.

In Delhi NCR, all major KP-concentrated-areas, including Rohini, Jain Nagar, Najafgarh, Vipin Garden, Dwarka, Sector-23, Shalimar Garden, Faridabad, Vasihali, Noida, Gurgaon and others places saw enthusiastic devotees singing bhajans and coming together on Zarma Satam.

Keeping the tradition alive and admiring Shri Krishna, the Jagat Guru to skies and showing devotion is such a pleasant experience that I am sure our children like it very much and will carry forward with them in their adult life.

Now most of you will be in the process of celebrating another very traditional festival and puja of Pann'. We wish you peace, prosperity and above all good health.

Martyrs Day In the month of September, on the 14h as you all know, is the KSD-designated Balidan Divas. And we observed it religiously with full devotion and took the opportunity to raise our demands through a massive protest at Jantar Mantar, the official site provided for holding protests in Delhi, in the evening. The next issue of Koshur Samachar will carry a detailed report on the happenings. A memorandum was submitted to the Govt. of India on the day. Among demands that we raised in the memorandum was the demand for a separate homeland as a permanent solution to our homelessness. We are very thankful for all our baradari brothers, sisters and children who came out on our call to participate in our programme on the Martyrs Day.

This year, as conveyed earlier, a group of organizations, including Global Kashmir Pandit Diaspora (GKPD), wanted a joint programme

However, on the question of Margdarshan Resolu of 1991, which is endorsed by KSD, there were s differences which eventually led to KSD and Pani Kashmir being kept out. That left us with no choice but to observe our programme. We are always fo unity and, in future too, we will pursue it in the interest of the community

Your organization, KSD, which has beer representing the Kashmiri Pandits since the 50s o the last century, and being the oldest recognized organization and presently the Nodal Agency looking after the welfare of the community, will always honour our tradition of observing this day to take our struggle to its logical end.

Relief (AMR) After great pursuance and persistence the Government of India has enhanced the monthly sustenance allowance in favour of the relief holders, viz from Rs. 10,000/to Rs. 13,000 per month per family of 4 or more members. In Jammu the relief holders are drawing their monthly AMR at the enhanced rates w.e.f. 13 June, 2018. In Delhi, the authorities concerned in disbursement of the monthly AMR have not enhanced as yet. The Government of India has issued orders for enhancing the AMR in favour of relief holders for Delhi/NCR w.e.f. 1st Aug. 2018. This organization has appealed to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for removing the disparity in allowing

Delhi to draw their AMR at revised rates w.e.f. 13 June, 2018 in place of the 19 August, 2018
