Let me begin by congratulating all the successful teens of our community who have qualified classes 10 and 12 this year from CBSE, ICSE, JKBOSE and other exam board examinations. To them. "You are our future and we really feel proud of you. Your parents, extended families, teachers and schools also need to be congratulated for supporting your well deserved success. While we at KSD wish you the very best in future years, we expect you to contribute schedule. to the community work and keep the flame of our proud culture and traditions buming"
Jeshta Ashtami falls on June 20. While all of us would feel nostalgic and homesick yet again 29" time, many of us, I believe, would go to Mata Rannya darbars in Kashmir, Jammu and Delhi NCR. Let's pray to invoke Her mercy! Jeshta Ashtami was our Kumbh mela and it must continue to have that attention from all of us. Do visit the nearby temples and we wish to extend all the best wishes to the whole biradari on this auspicious day. We have a request to vanous trusts, associations and others who look after Mata Kheer Bhawani temples in various locations. Please share a report and a few pictures, so that we can compile a report for our July edition of Koshur Samachar.
AMR for April-May paid
While the relief or AMR for two months has been released to relief holders in Delhi NCR, some families haven't received it due to a few issues First anyone, who has received excess payment last time, needs to deposit back the dues Even though the mistake has been at the end of officials, still you are requested to cooperate in your own interest President, Sh Vijay Raina and VP, Sh Manoj Bindru, did go and meet the Deputy Commissioner Relief at the office of Div Comm, where the officer in charge assured them that things would be streamlined KSD has also written to various districts over pending data transfers of affidavits that is holding relief of some people.

I have pleasure of telling you that the digitization process of Koshur Samachar has started after the Executive Council approved the vendor and the contract was signed. Work will start next month and it will greatly help subscribers renew subscriptions, take new subscriptions and make other payments online. We'll keep you updated about the progress and the launch
AGM held
The annual general meeting of KSD was held on May 27 2018, in Kashmir Bhawan The meeting stated as per the schedule and agenda which lasted do our nours. It began with paying homage to as community members and well wishers who chased away in the last year. Thereafter, the meeting proceeded as per the programme.
The undersigned read the minutes of the last AGM had on April 9, 2017 and the performance report of 2017 18 was presented and passed unanimously by voice vote by the house. Treasurer, Dr LN Dhar, (former president KSD) and present treasurer in executive council of KSD, presented the financial statement for the year ending March 31, 2018 and that too was passed unanimously. We appreciate the faith honourable members showed in our team as well as its work and especially the transparency in the accounts. We have added Rs 26 lakh to KSD's kitty in the last one year after meeting the expenses and this shows our financial discipline. The credit goes to the whole KSD team.
Honourable members and respected invitees from the NCR and other KP organisations did use the occasion to discuss several issues pertaining to the welfare of the community, float ideas and even raised questions. While detailed minutes will be made available well before the next AGM, as per convention, I would like to mention that Shri Sunil Shakdher (former president KSD), Shri B B Dhar, Shri Uptpal Kaul, Shri Kundan Kashmiri, Shn M K Pandita,
Shri Ravinder Pandita, Shri Dilbag Rai Sopori Shn Shiv Bhat, Shri Ashish Pandita, Shn B L Reshi, Shn Rajinder Kachroo, Sh Rattan Lal Kaul, Sh Rakesh Razdan did touch upon several points both for the community and KSD as an institution. President, Shri Vijay Raina, replied to all the genuine questions and further said that some suggestions have been received and have been recorded. I assure the hon'ble life members that these points will be put before the executive council for further discussions.
I would like to specially mention the presence of Sh JL Bhat, former President, KSD, who, in spite of publication in Koshur Samachar his ill health and old age, made it to the AGM and encouraged all of us. We really salute his dedication. for the community.
A couple of members did raise questions related to KSD constitution and wanted to add some points to the programme agenda of the meeting But the same was not allowed as such things have to come through proper channels and undergo a due process before these become points on agenda.
We request hon'ble members to go by social media posts orchestrated by vested interests about KSD and feel reassured that KSD is a hands, is in the hands of elected management is running constitutionally and very enterprising's work together for the betterment of KSD as an institution.
