In Kashmir, separatists and their children are enjoying prospering wards of the comparatively poor ones resort to stone petting in which they get injured - some of them get killed. This situation has been prevailing in the valley for a long time now. Most of it was under the carpet. It has started to come over the surface In the beginning of this month, youngsters resorted to stone-pelting a CRPF gypsy One of the attackers, Kaisar Bhat, climbed the bonnet of the vehicle. In the attempt, he fell down, came under the vehicle and later, died On June 4, his cousin, Irfan Ahmad, became unhappy to see Hurriyat leaders, headed by Mohammad Shafi Khan, a close associate of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, at the house of Kaisar's aunt. Irfan lashed out at Syed Ali Shah Geelani, without taking his name, and said. You talk of implementing Nizam-e-Mustafa (i e sharia), here but send your wards to Christian schools. Irfan Ahmad continued to say The deceased Kaisar's two sisters don't even know why their brother died. Do they know what martyrdom is? A person should be buried immediately after his sacrifice but you put the bodies on display on roads. Is this Nizam-e-Mustafa? Our Prophet (peace be upon him) never let any funeral wait.

After that, Irfan Ahmad tore into Hurriyat directly. He said: There is just sloganeering. Give us one answer as to what the leadership is doing? What does a martyr do in his grave? Irfan went on to say Lakhs are, now, scared by the name of Hurriyat. I, also, was a fan of Geelani Sahib, but, now, I have to change my opinion. He added that what he said was because he had become sentimental.

What Irfan says is a fact. Separatist leader Shabir Shah is in jail for allegedly involved in money laundering to fuel unrest in the valley. His daughter,  Sama Shabir, has bagged the first position in the CBSE class XII examination in the Jammu and Kashmir state. Sama did not specialise in stone throwing. She specialised in studies Her father had sent her to one of the top modern institutions-Delhi Public School of Srinagar She got 489 marks in humanities That is as high as 97.8 percent She has received congratulatory messages from a large number of people. This includes top Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Sh Gilani Gilani has, all along. been saying that Kams should send their children to madrassas and her such institutions where emphasis is laid on ropous practices. Shabir Shah did not follow Geelani's advice if he had his daughter would have been in the doldrums today.

Kashmiri youngsters have to choose between stone-throwing and education. The son of the Parliament attack incident Guru chose studies Hel blossomed and continually attained high marks He says he wants to pursue an educational course that will make him a distinguished professional.

Most Kashmiris feel suppressed. They do not support violence, but they don't have the courage to say so. They are afraid of the Hummyat and Pak supported infiltrators. No leader of the valley belonging to any political party has had the courage of opposing the stone-throwing attacks on security forces. When they are in power, they say that stone throwing should not be resorted to. When they lose power they say that the stone throwers have a cause for resorting to this act. So, the general population has to make a choice about their wards. Should the youngsters become expert stone pelters, or successful citizens-searchlights in their respective professions.
