Stone-pelting on tourists Jihad s cowardice act

Stone-pelters attacked a tourist vehicle in Narbal on the Srinagar-Gulmarg road. which killed a young tourist from Chennai and injured several others. A tourist from Chennai died after he was hit on the head by a stone on the outskirts of Srinagar This 22-year-old young man R Thiruman from Channel was on his way to a resort in Gulmarg, with his parents when their car was stoned by protesters Several vehicles were targeted by stone-pelters at this spot. The youth was admitted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries This is the second incident this month in which tourists were targeted by stone-throwing protesters Similarly some days back five tourists were injured when Three vehicles were stoned at Aishmuqam in Anantnag.

Stone pelting has become a part and parcel of Pakistan-sponsored and abetted nowly-adopted terror module in Kashmir. The trend tenor, intensity, mode and the target strategies are reviewed intermittently by those over-ground supporters of so-called jehadi terrorists. Their shift from attacks on the security forces while in operation to take on holed-up terrorists, to JK Police personnel and then even to school-going children has now been broadened and spread to target even innocent tourists visiting Kashmir.

Tourism is the backbone of the State economy and provides employment to thousands of people directly and indirectly Does this jihad mean to break and tear into the tourism economy and culture of the State, as well, when has already infested into other potential social and democratic fabric structures of the state apart from driving out lacks of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley Such cowardly acts now on the tourists by way of stone pelting speaks of enough of venom and intolerance on the part of barbaric group of so-called jihadis. Those, who overtly or covertly have a soft corner for such unbridled over-ground facilitators of terrorists and the stone polters, must have surely felt ashamed for the young tourist from Tamil Nadu who got grievously wounded by stones aimed at him by  the stone pelting mob and then succumbing to his injuries Such specifically aimed incidents are certainly going to adversely affect the economy of the state, as tourism is probably the only viable economic sector of the state.

A tragic event which has shaken almost the entire nation, occurred on 10th July, 2017, at 08-20 PM, as well, when the terrorists attacked a bus carrying Amamath Yatries near Anantnag, killing seven of them and injuring so many others. This cowardly act on the religious pilgrimage and its pilgrims speaks of enough venom and intolerance on the part of the barbarc group of fascists of Islamic fundamentals, who performed it or are its promoters and perpetrators.

It appears that the Islamic fundamentalist radical bug which is quite rampant in some of the parts of Islamic world has reached Kashmir, to make it a perpetual hell, in the name of spreading of Islamic rule (Sharyat), through the so-called and misconceived norm of Shed with subsequent martyrdom (Shanda). It is agonising, as also painful it is ultimately going to eat out the humble ethos which a noble and a common Kashmir Muslim was possessing prior to the birth of the present indecent happenings in Kashmir in the name of "Azad with an aimless approach towards the Islamization of the Sull spirit-based islam, which will never occur in Kashmir, come what may.

But all such of their nefarious designs are being defeated by the wise and the matured nationals of this country, when no partisan heed is paid to such barbaric acts on the lines of communal thinking. This is the great possession of our secular India which does not only appear to be secular but professes secularism on the ground in a very highly- tolerant manner The matured and peace loving masses of this secular india need to be congratulated for showing their maturity of genius of tolerance in this respect, on the death of the young gentleman from Chennai, who was killed for no fault of his fundamentalism and has almost become a grooming sanctuary of radical Islamists: An alarming extreme fundamentalist approach coloured in fascist tirade is becoming manifest enough in some of the disgruntled and misguided Kashmiri Muslim youths which is a dangerous trend and if allowed to continue, will lead to complete devastation of Kashmir Such a sad situation, when Wahab interpretation of Islam has intruded in the soft Sufi cult of Islam that has been prevalent in Kashmir almost since the advent of Islam in Kashmir and then its roots going into the  Islamic religious matrix in Kashmir will radicalise it which is now maximising day by day.

These barbaric perpetrators of terror death and destruction, calling themselves as the ambassadorial agents of so called Jehad are now exhibiting their mad acts of damned atrocities by lynching their own fellow countrymen, for one reason or the other A young and an enthusiastic Kashmir Amy officer was brutally killed and defaced by these jihadis for no cogent fault of his and that too when he was unarmed and was attending a marriage function of one of his relatives.

So many other such instances are on record when heinous and brutal attacks were made on local police personnel and were butchered beyond recognition by lynching them. The latest mode of operation of these perpetrators of death and destruction is to get cover through stone pelters, once they fall under any net of security forces.

Kashmir has now passed through a long trail of death and destruction. Such a dance of death and destruction will probably continue as long as Kashmin Muslims endorse such acts of gruesome deaths which are caused by the terrorists at the asking of their masters and mentors located in Pakistan. Let some good sense prevail now somewhere among the masses in Kashmir so that they refuse to acknowledge such barbaric acts of terror particularly the misconceived cult of Islamization, as no tangible result is expected out of it, other than devastation.

Some of the main stream political leaders of the state are now condemning these attacks and are beating their breasts when one such prominent political leader of a major political party of Kashmir has even called these stone pelters as goons.

But what about the statement of a prominent political leader of the same political party, who said some time back that Stone-Pelters Fight for Kashmir, not tourism, nor do they want tourism, which, he said, while addressing an election rally during his parliamentary election campaigning gets inferred that for his petty benefit of getting votes in  his elections this prominent political leader of Kashmir gave preference to terrorism over tourism. This prominent political leader was reacting to Shri Modi's statement made at the inauguration of Chenani-Nashri tunnel that the youth of Kashmir need to choose between tourism and terrorism He further said "1 want to tell Modi Sahib Tourism is our lifeline, there is no doubt about it." "But he is a stone peiter "He has nothing to do with tourism. He will starve to death but he is pelling stones for his nation and there is a need to understand this"

Similarly even the present ruling political dispensation has granted amnesty to these stone petters, declaring them as first time offenders. Their number is in thousands. In fact the amnesty to stone pelters has probably been a "suicidal move" by the govemment, and has, instead of helping restore normalcy, further deteriorated the situation in the Valley Of late a conclave of some of the political parties including the ruling political party, minus the Bhartiya Janta Party, are asking for a unilateral cease-fire on the occasions of Holy Ramzan and the ensuing Amamath yatra. Yes, suggesting of such good will gestures for ensuring peace and zero bloodshed on such auspicious occasions is the need of the hour. But why unilateral ceasefire? Why shouldn't all such political parties equally come on roads and ask the terrorists and their mentors across the borders, to do so during these auspicious occasions. Why shouldn't they tell them that enough is enough now, particularly after the attacks on the tourists. Are they feeling shy to do so, or is it another ploy of appeasement of these political parties towards these terror groups for their vote bank politics. Tamor is terror and countering it has to be very hard. There should be no let up unless both the sides agree to do so. Stem measures need to be taken to come down heavily upon these stone peters who are actually the over-ground terrorists and are equally the abettors of terror Similarly the curbing of the terrorist's activities need now a heavy hand in view of the holy month of Ramzan and the ensuing Amamath Yatra. Giving such amnesties of unilateral cease-fire will mean to allow these terror groups to regroup themselves and, while moving freely, encourage new recruits as terrorists. A similar experiment was announced by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government also in the year 2000, but it was a failure. It was immediately withdrawn on May-2001 As the history speaks, there was a major terror attack on the Srinagar airport during the period of that cease-fire 2018 is different from 2000. Enough water has flown down the River Jhelum Jhelum has already revolted some years back by showing its wrath against militancy, through its flood waters, while entering the main city of Srinagar and devastating most of the parts of Srinagar city.

A prominent leader of a major political party of Kashmir condemned this incident of stone-pelting recently and said, "We've killed a lounst by throwing stones at the vehicle he was travelling in. Let's try and wrap our heads around the fact that we stoned a tourist, a guest, to death while we glorify these stone pelters and their methods," he tweeted It is wished that such words of these leaders could match their utterances on ground. Are these the crocodile tears? This is true of so many political leaders of Kashmir. Why don't these political parties, including a prominent ruling political party of Kashmir, come on the roads, hold rallies and protest and condemn these barbaric acts, conveying a message to these destructive elements that enough is enough and there is need to stop this brutality But they will not do so. The reasons are obvious. "Vote bank politics and dynastic rules" Who have been the sympathisers of these people is a million dollar question at this stage of militancy in the valley. We all know it.
