Use Governor s rule to correct policy flaws in J&K Speakers at PK seminar

At a seminar organised by Panun Kashmir in conformed to the view held by a lot of people that Government of India's Kashmir policy needs to be structured to secure rights of minorities of the state instead of packages and Muslim appeasement .

Initiating the discussion the seminar theme of 'Governor's Rule in J&K Past Failures, Present Prospects, Prof Hari Om, eminent Historian, writer and political analyst said that the present governor's Rule in the state is a great opportunity for government of India to correct its policy on Jammu and Kashmir apparatus." which has seen a dangerous drift in recent years "Many policies of the government in the past instead of countering and defeating the religious separatism in the state have only abetted and promoted the separatist machinations. It is time to put a decisive halt to such policies and cancel them lock stock and barrel. State sponsorship of separatism in the name of winning the hearts and minds of people should stop and be replaced by a policy structure which promotes national interests. It is time that demographic invasion of Jammu is stopped. Governor's Rule can set trends which will be a guiding principle for the future democratic governments in the state.”

Prof Hari Om said that entire Jammu Province is seething in anger and it is high time to initiate policies to calm down the situation. "Ordering CBI enquiry in the Rasaana case be one decisive step to assuage the public feelings"

Prof Shailendra Singh, professor of history at Jammu University while addressing on the topic said the most dangerous trend in the state in the recent past has been the growing Islamist Radicalization in the state mainly in Kashmir valley "if you listen to the statements emanating from the leadership of Kashmir including those who are recognized as moderates on the issue of Article 35-A in recent days you could realise the perversion which has taken grip of the political class in the valley Political leaders in Kashmir are now brazenly talking about rebellion and sedition Such a situation was allowed to be built to the crescendo by the previous regime in the state Decisive steps need to be taken to reverse radicalization in the state. It cannot be done by appeasement but by active contestation of separatist discourse in the state and stopping the abetment of the separatist cause from within the administrative.

Emerging leader of Jammu and Chairman of Ikk Jatt Jammu advocate Ankur Sharma said that the grim reality of Jammu and Kashmir is that it has been converted into a Muslim State using the democratic set up and minorities living in the state have been converted into enslaved subject people That all the schemes and help earmarked for the minorities in the State have been usurped by the Muslim majority over the years is a glaring example of subjugation of Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and other minorities living in the state Governor can move in a decisive way at this time to correct the situation He can immediately start the process of identifying the minorities in the state so that they can avail of the benefits of schemes earmarked for the minorities The State government has only to obey the instructions of the Supreme Court of India to initiate the action of identifying the minorities in the state."

Dr Agnishekher Convenor of Panun Kashmir urged the Governor to move decisively towards recognizing the genocide inflicted on the Hindus of Kashmir and recast the policy of the government in such a way that instead of reducing the issue of religious cleansing and internal displacement as an issue of mere economic package create a comprehensive policy of reversing the genocide of Hindus of Kashmir "It is high time Governor of the state initiate a serious engagement with the Hindus of Kashmir on the demand of creating a Union Territory in Kashmir for the permanent return of the Hindus of Kashmir Dr Agnisheker said the existing policy on Hindus of Kashmir is a process of handing over the Hindu minority to a Muslim communal order and is frought with serious consequences. "Hindus of Kashmir will not return to be slaves of a Muslim order even if they are given Jammu any allurement."

Dr Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman of Panun Kashmir urged the government to realise why its policies are failing consistently with regard to Jammu and Kashmir. He said the leaders of India have always shirked to recognize the problem in Kashmir as a religious separatism. "It has failed to recognize the violence and turmoil in Kashmir as expressions  of Jihadi war

and instead tried to trivialize it by calling it merely terrorism Government of India has committed a crime of denial of genocide by describing the Genocide of Hindus of Kashmir as migration Kashmir has become a springboard for Jihad invasion into rest of India. Jammu has been its prime target and we are witnessing concerted attempts at destruction of its demographic character Dr Ajay said both the state and the Central government have two most urgent tasks to perform "They have to reverse the genocide inflicted on the Hindus of Kashmir and prevent the impending incursion of this genocidal war into Jammu.

Dr Ajay Chrungoo said that the course of reversal of radical Islamisation of Kashmir will have to start from recognizing the genocide of Hindus and its reversal and not the other way round" A Kashmir which is comfortable with having cleansed Hindus of Kashmir will never be secular, moderate and peaceful. It will continue to drift towards worst form of religious regression.
