


Ganesha s attributes are significant
Lord Ganesha is one of the most loved and recognized archetypes found in the various world cultures, the elephant-headed god of Hinduism, known as The Remover of Obstacles Ganesha is invoked, before beginning any activity, to remove all possible obstacles-seen and unseen known and unknown, internal and external, spiritual and material, now and in the future Ganesha blesses the devotee by clearing his path of obstacles to whatever he is experiencing in his life.
The elephant head denotes wisdom, the atman or the soul and signifies simple living and high thinking. It depicts wisdom, knowledge (intelligence) discrimination , clear planning and foresightedness. The best example of his common sense we can see through his using one of his tusks when his quill got broken while scripting Mahabharata. The broken tusk that Ganesha holds like a pen in his lower right hand, is a symbol of sacrifice. His wisdom is shown in treating parents as God (Maatru Devo Bhavah-Pitru Devo Bhavah) He is the one who has shown to the world the significance of parents by taking a circumambulation around his parents. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, that bestowed upon him the position of Janadhipathya, Lordship over the Ganas.
His fan-like ears convey that he is all ears to our petition. Listening is an art and it shows the principle of lend your ear but be discriminative. The communication gap is the distance between the two ears. Lord Ganesha was specially chosen by Lord (Sage) Vedavyaasa to script the great epic Mahabharata. With his listening skills, Lord Ganesha could effectively transcript narration given by Lord Vedavyaasa without any communication gap.
The rosary in his other hand suggests that the pursuit of knowledge should be continuous. In his upper right hand Ganesha holds an axe. This signifies to exercise proper control in the path to success which helps him propel mankind forward on the eternal path and remove obstacles. The noose in Ganesha's left hand is a gentle implement to capture all difficulties
Small mouth Talk less and work mre. Productivity angle: Small eyes: Stay focused have a bird's view but not a worm's view Be ever alert and conscious of surroundings. Large Stomach Ability to digest Acceptability (accept both good and bad in life) Ganesha's large stomach is a treasure of Vedic knowledge.
The laddoo (sweet) he holds in his trunk indicates that one must discover the sweetness of the atman. The snake that runs round his waist represents energy, in all forms .
His vehicle is a mouse which symbolises that "nothing is insignificant in this universe" . What is important is that one should know how to utilise opportunities effectively. Don't ignore small happenings Size makes no difference, Mouse also symbolises the darkness of night. Mouse can see well in the dark Lord Ganesha's vehicle mouse signifies an object that leads man from darkness to light. And he is humble enough to ride the lowest of creatures, a mouse.
One should understand the significance of Lord Ganesha, his symbolism, messages it conveys and worship him for a hassle-free life and success in endeavours will be without obstacles
