Kashmir Bhawan Calling
Dear respected members,
Namaskar and Greetings!
We celebrated yet another Jyeshta Ashtami in exile on the 20th of the last month (June) and, at the same time, it was heartening to see that our baradani members celebrated the day by invoking the divine blessings of Mata Kheer Bhawani (Ragnya Mata) at all Her abodes, both in Kashmir and outside in Jammu and Delhi-NCR in good numbers everywhere. And let me join you in praying to Her yet again for seeking an end to our exile and sufferings.
A team from Kashmir Samiti Delhi joined the celebrations at Shalimar Garden (Sahibabad), located at Mata Kheer Bhawani Mandir (Tullamulla) on the ashtami. A large number of devotees including women and children were seen on the occasion. The rituals, traditions and Maha Yagnya invoked strong memories of the good old days of the Tullamulla fair. We are very thankful to Shri Vinod Jad (Bitmoji), President of the Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Shalimar Garden, (Sahibabad & Adjoining Areas) and his dedicated team, which made every effort to make the festival a success, which indeed it was. I, on behalf of the entire KSD family, extend our best wishes to Shri Jad and his dedicated team.
We would also like to congratulate all other trusts, organisations, volunteers and groups involved in Jyshta Ashtami functions and celebrations across India, including the Kashmir valley, for keeping our holy traditions and Kul Devi in the highest esteem.

Martyrs Day-14 Sept, 2018
Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, this year, again, is interested in unity and would like to request all the organisations in Delhi, NCT and NCR to join us in observing the Martyrs Day on 14 September, 2018. A delegation of the Overseas Association has approached this organisation in connection with the mass observation of Martyrs Day and are interested in joining us. The delegation had, also, approached other heads of organisations, in this connection which, in turn, referred them to this organisation as the Martyrs Day is the legacy of the Kashmiri Samiti Delhi which observes this day every year. The communication between Overseas Association is going on and the final outcome shall be intimated in due course of time .
Participation of Youth
Kashmiri Samiti Delhi (Regd.), from the date of its existence to date has been involved in the welfare and preservation of culture of the community. You are aware that migration took place in 1990 due to the eruption of militancy in the valley and the community had fled from
their land leaving behind all their valuables. Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, in Delhi, have been a central place for all the migrants for registration or camp services. This organisation, voluntanly, under the leadership of old stalwarts, did not back out from its responsibility but worked entirely day and night with the most efficient handling of the worst position at that time. Now that three decades have passed and many elections have been conducted for the management of the organisation but it is sad that none of the youth members comes forward to give us a helping hand as the balloon of the KSD has to be passed on to the young generation, in time, to come for taking the cause of the community in exile forward and fight for their right and save the community from diminishing. I appeal to all those young members, who can spare some time, to join us and give us a helping hand so that tomorrow to come shall be safe in their hands.
