KSD observes Dedication Day

On December 25 last, Kashmir Samiti Delhi a Kala Manch, Delhi, where a large gathering of Kashmiri Pandits participated in full strength and, unanimously, demanded Homeland within Kashmir

The Chief Guest Shyam Jaju, National Vice- President and Prabhari, Delhi and Uttarakhand, in his speech, expressed his full solidarity with the Kashmir Pandits and assured us that their demand will be considered and full attention will be given to it as BJP understands their pain and suffering since the last 30 years

Sh. Sumeer Chrungoo President, Kashmir Samiti Delhi, in his opening address, put forth the demand of homeland and demanded justice for the same

Well-known journalist and political analyst Pushpendra Kulshetra, also, supported Kashmiri

Pandits' demand of Homeland within Kashmir. 

Our community stalwarts, Dr. LN. Dhar, Dr Shakti Bhan, Sh. Sunil Shakdar, Sh. Kundan Kashmiri and Sh. Lalit Ambardar, also spoke on the subject, in detail.

The day-long programme was followed by a Mushaira and a cultural programme, wherein Kashmir songs and a short skid on Article 370, was the highlight of the day. 

KSD felicitated distinguished community members for their unparalleled and selfless service to the community in their respective fields.

Community stalwart, activist and a well-known spokesperson Lalit Ambardar was felicitated for his forth right views. The other honourable recipients of the "Gaurav Sammaan", who were felicitated are: Sh. A.K. Monga, Dr. Ashok Dhar, Dr. Pragati Ganjoo, Sh. Narinder Safaya, Sh. M.K. Bhat, from Jammu and Sh. Gopi Krishan Kaul.

The highlight of the programmes was the views expressed by the youngsters and their demand was the same as was expressed by the president Sh. Sumeer Chrungoo.

The day's programme ended on a high note and "Kashmir Samiti Delhi" expressed gratitude and thanked all community members, across Delhi and NCR for their participation.

Thanks were conveyed to Rohini sisters for their mesmerising performance which enthralled the audience and received a standing ovation for the reciting of traditional "HENZIE" keeping our culture and tradition intact. It was memorable for the audience to hear our talented young budding singer Koshin Kaul who sang beautifully Kashmiri songs and was appreciated and repeatedly applauded by one and all.

Sh Gautam Kaul and Sh M.K. Bhat were thanked for conducting a musical concert and for the mushaira and Smt. Sushma Bhat for conducting and anchoring the cultural programme.

In spite of the intense cold, the community members made it a point to make it a huge success by participating in full strength. The whole community prayed together for our dear Sh. Vijay Kumar Raina, General Secretary, KSD, for his speedy recovery and hoped that he will be with us on the next programme guiding and leading us to greater heights.
