Namaskar

stand before you today with a heart heavy with pain, yet filled with pride - pride for I our soldiers, and pain for our people. Recently, the nation witnessed yet another gruesome act of terror the targeted killing of innocent Hindu tourists in Pahalgam, where terrorists, after ascertaining the identity of their victims, shot them in cold blood. This brutality sent a wave of shock and anguish across the country. In response, the Government of India launched a swift and decisive counter offensive Operation Sindoor. The recent gruesome terror attack in Pahalgam, where unarmed Hindu tourists were mercilessly identified and executed by terrorists, has shaken the conscience of the entire nation. Once again, the deep-rooted menace of Islamist terrorism has revealed its brutal face reminding us of the darkest chapters in the history of Kashmir. In swift and decisive retaliation, the Government of India launched Operation Sindoor a high-intensity counter-terror mission that successfully targeted and destroyed nine terror camps located in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and deep inside Pakistan. Over 100 active terrorists, including several high-value ISI-backed assets, were neutralized. As expected, Pakistan attempted to respond with swarm drone and missile attacks across our northern borders from Jammu to Rajasthan. However, these offensives were thoroughly foiled by India's robust air defence systems. In return, India executed a precise and calculated strike, dismantling Pakistani air defence radars and targeting nine of its air bases, forcing the Pakistan Army into retreat. The pressure compelled their Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) to request a truce which India agreed to, but only on its own terms. India made its intentions clear, we are not seeking war, but we will not tolerate terror. Operation Sindoor continues, with a firm resolve that talks and terror cannot go hand in hand; water and blood cannot flow together. A Deeper Truth Behind Operation Sindoor While this operation is a strategic and military victory, it carries a far deeper significance for us the Kashmiri Pandit community. For many of us in exile for over three decades, Operation Sindoor rekindles painful memories of the January 1990 exodus, when our sacred shrines were desecrated, temples locked, homes marked for terror, and women's Sindoor turned to ash amidst burning houses. The name Teindeloosanctity identity and sacrificilestory for justice that ancais umariewend. The brave actions of ant soldim Hu sesame to dila will tourism, but they also highlight glaring perawan Land from zuriat but can we reclaim the lost dignity, komes, and heritage of Ka Panditst A Call for Justice Beyond Military Victory Over the data have come and lite, and perimises have been plentiful yet the mality comains grim. The majority of Kashmiri Pandits continue to bow inule song that in contracted only by fear and insecurity but by political spathy and tokenism Our temples in Our mes are occupied abandoned, or sold under duness Oud blatory is often remembered only during anniversaries and commemorations, rat thari being integrated into the nation's collective metvory Justice must not be reduced to compensation or symbolic gestures. It must include Restoration and protection of religious and cultural institutions. Siete, secure, and dignified rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in their homeland. Mentification, prosecution, and punishment of those responsible for genocide and terme Acknowledgment of the Kashmiri Pandit tragedy in textbooks, national discourse, medie, and public memory Let Operation Sindoor be more than a military operation. Let it stand as a national commitment that India will not rest until its own children, like the Pandits of Kashmir, are no longer refugees in their own land Unaddressed Core Issues While the govemment continues to take action against terrorists in the region, se humbly remind you that the fight against terrorism is not just about defending borders or protecting civilians it is also about addressing the root cause of the Kashmiri Pandit genocide, and the radical Islamist doctrine that fuels jihadist violence. The problem cannot be solved by treating its symptoms while leaving the core ideology and perpetrators untouched. We have long insisted that until the ideology of hate is addressed, and justice delivered to the victims, peace will remain fragile and temporary. As Kashmir inches toward a fragile peace, the nation's conscience must reflect on a fundamental question When will the original inhabitants of the Valley the Kashmiri Pandits - retum to their "separate homeland" not as refugees, but as rightful citizens? Not in fear, but in freedom? Let Operation Sindoor ignite not only strategic victories but also the moral revival of India's forgotten exiled sons and daughters With warm regards and deep respect,
