Relief-Demonstration at Divisional Commissioner's office
Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, in its emergency meeting with the office-bearers had decided to demonstrate / protest against the unnecessary harassment for Kashmin Pandit relief holders by the revenue authorities in Delhi KSD gave a call that a protest was to be held on 7° of March, 2018. It was supported by all KP organisations across the Delhi NCR A large number of Kashmiri Pandit biradari /relief holders joined the demonstration against the wrong policies adopted by the Revenue authorities. While demonstrating the Delhi Police were ready to charge with lathies and threatened to arrest the demonstrators The President, Shri Vijay Raina was almost manhandled but undeterred, he proceeded further on demonstration having overwhelming support of Kashmin Pandits who showed their togetherness and oneness. They stood firm and continued. I thank everyone from the core of my heart and request the community members not to rest but remain vigilant as the fight for the betterment of the community has to be taken to its logic conclusion Our genuine demands, which were addressed to the Divisional Commissioner Revenue Secretary were accepted and were agreed by the Divisional Commissioner The demands are as under.
1 All pending AMR would be disbursed on or before March 14, 2018
2 The disbursement of AMR would be released irrespective of submission of affidavits
3 Also discussed was about the disclosure of monthly income and we made the Divisional Commissioner to take back the earlier decision of stopping the monthly AMR to those who had disclosed yearly income of more than Rs 1,20,000.00 per annum.
4 The immediate necessary orders in favour of addition bifurcation to KP migrant carts in Delhi to be issued is in progress (it was also decided that the subject matter will be discussed in the first week of April, 2016 at the Nodal Cell Meeting and final decision will be taken) .
5. The migrant certificates to KP wards would be given without any harassment (accepted)
The Kashmir Samiti Delhi requested all the relief holders to kindly submit their affidavits on the old proforma before the end of the current month or otherwise their AMR will be stopped.
KSD Appeals for Samochik Hawan in three zones team for upholding the religious culture KSD once again appeal to all the KP organisations across Delhi NCT to perform only one Mahayanya jointly in the three zones of Delhi NCT every year It is a proposal we are putting before the community to decide. In this connection, if accepted KSD is ready to arrange a meeting of all the main KP organisations. This proposal was suggested by our former President Sh CL Gadoo and was accepted by some prominent members who were present there at the Hawan day.
It has been observed that the presence of the community members on Hawans remains very low wherever it may be performed, thus wasting of community funds and the sanctity of the Hawan gets lost which hurts the common community member It has also been noted that even the inhabitants of the area do not attend the functions. The joint Samoohik Hawan will bring the biradan together from all the areas and the participation will be in large numbers. The money which will be saved can be utilised for the medical urgencies of the KP community.
Education
The Academic session for the year 2018-19 will commence in April-May 2018 The exact dates will be communicated to the community in due course of time. KSD team is ready to help our wards at any stage. In the meanwhile we request the parents of the wards to obtain recommendation letters for migrant certificates well in advance so that they may not feel any problem at the time of admission. We hope our wards will clear the academic examination with a good percentage to compete with the other students. We wish best of luck to all our community wards. Those parents who want to obtain the recommendation letter from KSD should bring the Chief Minister and the Education Minister of the State original migrant card, residence proof and date of Birth Certificate or class 10 certificate in KSD Office. The timing for getting the same is 2 pm to 5 pm on all working days.
