As we draw closer to the conclusion of the year 2025, Kashmiri Samiti Delhi (KSD) takes this opportunity to place before its esteemed members an update on important developments, institutional decisions, and community initiatives that continue to shape our collective journey.

Kashmir Bhawan: Construction Progress

The long-cherished dream of establishing Kashmir Bhawan is steadily taking tangible shape. The internal works of the building are progressing in a planned and systematic manner. Every effort is being made to ensure that construction activities are completed within a stipulated timeframe, without  compromising on quality, safety, and longterm utility. The Managing Committee, in close coordination with technical advisors, is exercising utmost care in the utilization of resources. Financial discipline, transparency, and optimal use of community contributions remain guiding principles throughout the construction process. A significant milestone has already been achieved. It is a matter of pride and satisfaction for all members that the office of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, which had been functioning from a rented premises at Arya Samaj, has been shifted to the newly constructed premises of Kashmir Bhawan on 4 December 2025. This transition marks the beginning of functional operations from our own premises and symbolizes a major step forward in the realization of our collective vision.

Dedication Day: Decision for 2025

Kashmiri Samiti Delhi has traditionally observed "Dedication Day" on 25 December each year, a day that reminds us of our commitment towards community service, cultural preservation, and national responsibility. In an urgent meeting convened on 13 December 2025, the Hon'ble Members deliberated on the status of Kashmir Bhawan and other related considerations. Keeping in view the fact that the building is still under completion, it was unanimously resolved not to celebrate Dedication Day in 2025. The decision reflects collective wisdom and respect for the sanctity of the occasion. The Samiti firmly believes that Dedication Day should be observed in its true spirit only when Kashmir Bhawan is fully ready to host such a meaningful event. It has therefore been resolved that Dedication Day will be celebrated on 25 December 2026 in the fully completed Kashmir Bhawan. The occasion will be marked with the performance of a Maha Yajna, followed by customary community participation, seeking divine blessings for peace, unity, and prosperity.

Koshur Samachar: Subscription & Contributions

Koshur Samachar continues to be an important platform for disseminating information, preserving collective memory, and strengthening community bonds. The magazine reflects the voice, concerns, achievements, and cultural ethos of the Kashmiri community. Subscribers whose subscriptions are due for renewal are requested to renew the same at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted receipt of the magazine and to support the Samiti's publication efforts. Members are also encouraged to contribute articles, essays, cultural reflections, poetry, research notes, and opinion pieces for publication in Koshur Samachar. Contributions from all age groups are welcome and help enrich the content and diversity of the magazine. Moving Forward Together

The progress of Kashmir Bhawan and the continued functioning of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi stand as testimony to the unity, perseverance, and commitment of the community. The Samiti once again appeals to all members to extend their continued support, cooperation, and guidance in the months ahead. Kashmir Bhawan is not merely a physical structureit is envisioned as a cultural, social, and spiritual nucleus for present and future generations of Kashmiri Samaj.
