My Appeal To Community Members

1.  NEED FOR A DYNAMIC ORGANIZATION:

A good nurtured organization is a necessity for a Community to develop on right lines. The community has seen an mushroom growth of Social Organization Competing with each other and engaged in establishing supremacy over the others. Even in exile we have divided exhibiting individualistic mentality, excepting favours, may it be at the cost of community Interest continuity and consistency shall be the hall mark of a well oiled organization. A dynamic organization tutors us to stand united and to rise above petty and narrow outlook. The need of an hour is unity in thought, action and deeds. We have to exhibit our unity in diversity. A dynamic organization is one which carries the mandate of the masses and advises us to be united not at heart only but also united in agenda, strategy and tactics.

         B.  IMPORTANCE OF AN ORGANIZATION

In short and clear, a well oiled organization is the life line of the community. It brings to the notice of the Government the requirements of the community. It virtually translates the aim and objective of our organization. So we need unity and rise above petty and narrow outlook. I see mostly the organization in the form of Sabha, samiti and other allied names work for their interest, except a few parental organizations. There is a certain amount of disillusionment and distrust towards these self styled leaders whom we see with suspicion. Such leaders speak in different voices giving ample chances to our tormentors to exploit us. So commoners are fed up with such leaders, only asking them to close their political shop.

 

1. A CHANGE IN OFFERING:

There is a change seen in the mindset of intellectuals, think-tanks, policey makers, saner elements, elite personalities and icons of the community that they trust the parental organizations like ASKPC and find them more accommodative, and having a strategy and vision. A few days before, I received an invitation, with an agenda to be discussed threadbare. This meeting was organized, well planned, well executed by its chief spokesman/General Secretary of Delhi ASKPC Mr. Kundan Kashmiri. I was highly impressed by his organizational talent and leadership quality. It was held in J & K house at Chanakyapuri. The conference hall was Jampacked to its capacity with Galaxy of eminent personalities, who had come to hear a representative of the Kashmiri Pandit Mr. Vijay Bakaya Ex-chief Secretary, now MLC nominated by national conference. There was complete discipline maintained and each speaker was allowed to speak and remove his doubts. There was no confusion, mess or shouting with negative thinking. It was well planned and organized by Kundan Kashmiri a talented new found Mascot, selfless and dedicated leader in the making.

1. WHAT DID MR. VIJAY BAKAYA SAID IN THE GATHERINGS:

Kashmiri Pandits intelligentsia had deep admiration for Mr. Vijay Bakaya Ex chief secretary. As a member of the Apex body, he explained in detail steps taken by Umar Abdullah chief minster of Coalition Govt. of NC and Congress. Hea satisfied all the members with his answer. He cleared all doubts about then rehabilitation, floated by vested interest. He even spoke that in spite of conflicting opinion, state Govt. is having sympathy and the role of the Govt. is decisively instrument in bringing a change. He assured the gathering that there is an radical change in their mindset, repose trust in them and not led away by mischief mongers. He assured the gathering that employment, rehabilitation, and other problem is at the top agenda of the Govt. but only collective efforts under one leadership, is the need of the hour.

              E. HIS ADVISE TO THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS:

He informed that the NC- Congress is initiating a dialogue with other sector of the society and creating a shared vision including Kashmiri Pandits. Umar Abdullah is keen to help our community in whatever way it is possible. He advised gathering to repose trust and change their mindset towards positive thinking He assured the office bearers to convey the message that responsible Govt. is at it and the demand raised in memorandum will be fulfilled soon.

                F.   REACTION OF THE ELITE MEMBERS:

All the Galaxy of eminent personalities, thanked Mr. Bakaya for his keenness to redress there grievances and successfully projecting our Community before the panel. They thanked Mr. Kundan Kashmiri Chief spokesman/General. Secretary Delhi ASKPC for organizing such a meeting of intellectuals and bringing to limelight the factual position emerging, to distance them away from pranksters and trendy self-styled leaders. They also thanked Kundan Kashmiri for arranging a sumptuous launch which was well served. One of the participant declared in an emotional outburst that aa community has found two Jewel in the form of Kundan Kashmiri , a dedicated leader and Vijay Bakaya our true representative in the I & K Assemble and wished for his elevation to the ministerial. berth.

All disbursed with high expectations, thinking all the functionaries for organizing such a meeting.

                 G. MY HUMBLE SUBMISSION FOR THE COMMUNITY:

I was highly impressed by the organizing ability of Kundan Kashmiri and his firebrand team of dedicated selfless workers. My humble submission to my brethren is to

(1) stand united in all conditions. We should not be united at heart only, but also united in Agenda, strategy and tactics also

(2) We have a suspicious mind to distrust every sympathizer. We loose their sympathy due to oura overt and covert behaviour.

(3) We should repose trust in someone to whom we choose our leader.

(4) The viable solution lies changing our mindset, cooperate with Govt. understand their difficulty, apply mind and not to shown callous attitude or boycott, or other way to show resentment. I see a ray of hope in my youth who have been realizing the gravity of the situation.

(5) Let us try to develop the quality of goodness as this will make us to think rationally, well towards all, malice towards none, Goodness helps in developing a vision of leading a value-based life and creating a world of purity, peace and happiness.

(6) Let us, shun egoistic mentality, individualistic tendency and mudslinging behaviour. This attitude will demean struggle. Let us say Goodbye to the syndrome of me, mine and substitute it with ours, us and we.

Let me conclude with an appeal to all think tanks, saner elements, policy makers and commoners to move ahead, change their mindset, develop the virtue of tolerance and disassociate with the associating pranksters and trendy self styled leaders.

Let us be optimistic, develop positive thinking. Community can survive only when every one of us take up the responsibility to re-credit good relations and bonhomie that existed between Hindus and Muslims. Only then we can safeguard our identity and expect for better rehabilitation.
