Kuldeep Bhatt Officiating General Secretary Kashmir Samiti 2022
Dear Respected Member,
Namaskar,
At the beginning of this month, we witnessed so much pollution in Delhi/NCR that it became difficult for us to come out of our homes, especially for our elders. However, by the grace of God, in mid-November 2022, it came to normal. Now, after the hottest summer, we feel some relaxation in pollution. Moreover, we feel better now when the cold breeze starts in the morning and evening, indicating that the winter season has arrived. We need to be more careful during this winter season.
Education
The counselling for Kashmiri migrants' wards in Maharashtra's Educational / Technical Institutions was completed, with the total number of seats available being 1550, out of which 173 students got admission. After the pandemic in India, it was the first counselling which took place physically. This time Kashmiri Samiti Delhi did not depute any representative for some reason, but our Vice- President, Shri Vijay Bhat, was in touch with the technical institution authorities Kashmiri Samiti Delhi wishes all the KP wards good luck with their studies and always be in good health
As you know, we have limited medical seats in a few states. KSD is tirelessly working on reserving more medical seats in another state for Kashmiri migrant wards. Kashmiri Samiti Delhi requests all those migrant wards apply for medical seats in the states where our reserve quota is earmarked.
It has come to our notice that the candidates are occupying the reserved medical seats in every state, which hampers the admission process of those KP candidates whose names are on the waiting list. We request that candidates with a good percentage in NEET apply only in one state to give a chance to the remaining candidates.
Meeting with Jammu Relief Commissioner
Kashmiri Samiti Delhi President met the Relief Commissioner of Jammu, Shri K K Sidda, during his visit to Jammu. It was nice meeting with him, and we thank Relief Commissioner Jammu for listening to us patiently. During the discussion, it was brought to the notice of KSD that in the coming future, every domicile holder will get the Ayushman Bharat Card scheme for which order is expected. Secondly, those migrants who did not have the opportunity to get domicile certificates would get another chance. This organisation has decided that another camp will be conducted for which the dates shall be circulated very soon.
Meeting with Delhi NCT Lt Governor
A delegation of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, under the presidentship of Shri Sumeer Chrungoo, met the Hon'ble Lt Governor of Delhi NCT on 21st November 2022. The other members who accompanied the President were-Shri Sanjay Koul, Vice President, Dr L IN Dhar, former President and Shri Ashok Trisal, Secretary. It was a fruitful meeting as most of the issues pertaining to our KP migrant community were discussed. Kashmir Samiti Delhi is highly thankful for listening to us patiently and assured us of resolving the issues soon. The points that the KSD discussed during the meeting were:
1. The implementation of the addition/ bifurcation of migrant cards in Delhi NCR.
2. Restoration of relief to migrants whose payment has been stopped for various reasons.
3. Ayushman Bharat Card scheme to be implemented for the migrant KPs residing in Delhi and NCR registered as migrants under the Delhi Administration.
Dedication Day
Te Dedication Day celebration is on 25th December 2022. Kashmiri Samiti Delhi is celebrating this day wholeheartedly to rededicate ourselves to the community cause.
We are celebrating this day once again on Sunday, 25th Dec 2022, after two years because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The programme venue and other details shall be shared with all the life members of KSD on social media platforms or through the mail.
Construction of Kashmir Bhawan
The team KSD is moving towards the milestone, i.e. construction of the New Kashmir Bhawan.
It gives me immense pleasure to inform our Baradari members that the competent authority has approved the sanction plans for this new building. With the Almighty's grace and your good wishes, we are now ready to demolish the old building.
