The Kashmir Bhavan was, once again in the public glare as it has always been, was it a social, political or a religious function.

Never has Kashmir Bhavan Bangalore witnessed such a huge crowd as it had during the darshan of Mata Sharda from 26th to 28th Jan. Sharda's darshan. The goddess Sharda is one of the prominent deities of Kashmiri Pandits apart from Martand Sun Temple and Amarnath, which will be consecrated in the newly constructed temple at Teetwal, J&K on 22nd march, the Hindu new year's day the deity idol of goddess Sharda which was kept in a new bolero vehicle turned into Chariot.

The chariot enclosure adorned with a beautiful Shamiyana canopy, festooned with flower garlands all over and ist with led focus lights at the entrance gate looked elegance of goddess has descended from the heavens. The lawn was also decorated with a handsome Shamiyana canopy to make sitting comfortable for the devotees. The adjacent neelkanteshwara temple too had been decorated magnificently with flower garlands all over. The portentous Bhavan gave an eclectic look all-round

Sooner the news spread through media, mammoth crowd of devotees started thronging from mornings to late evenings to pay their obeisance to the deity goddess Mata Sharda. The media crew swooped in delight to cover the report of this historic event and yatra. More than ten thousand devotees, men, women of all age groups and physically challenged had darshan of Mata Sharda. Long queues of devotees stretched from one end of the Bhavan gate to the other end of the main road were seen and devotees waiting to have the glimpse of Mata Sharda.

The havan dedicated to Mata Sharda created awakening of the auspicious energies around thousands chanting sacred vedic mantras and invoking celestial presence of the divine deity Sharda Mata.

The Prasadam Chitrana, Pulyogarai, Upma, fresh cut fruits, sweets (ladoos) and tea from mornings to evenings were served to the devotees. Specially prepared kheer by Aparna Challu Zutshi (Habbakadal restaurant) too was served on the Homa day.

Later, on the day of departure to Mumbai, BJP MP and YUVA MORCHA national president Tejesvi Surya Ji joined the devotees to pay obeisance to Mata Sharda. Received by the chairman KHCWT R K Mattoo, SSC President Ravinder Pandita and other trustees of KHCWT, Sh. Surya was escorted and taken for pooja in the Neelakanteshwara temple which followed obeisance at the feet of Mata Sharda. The visit of MP is considered a historic moment to encourage yatra to reach its destination.

Sh. Surya was felicitated with a shawl by chairman khcwt sh mattoo. President ssc ravinder pandita ji and trustees of khcwt were also felicitated by sri tejesvi ji. The mp was taken around the bhavan floors, where he sat and interacted on the podium of the central hall dedicated to late sri anantkumar. While interacting over prasadam served in a siali leaf bowl, the chairman, trustees khcwt and panditaji, discussed the modalities and impediments of yatra like facilities for transportation of yatris and laying of tar road at Teetwal which Sri Tejesvi Ji assured and asked the chairman KHCWT to discuss with him. The MP assured all help to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits. The chairman KHCWT brought out the contribution of Kannadigas and successive Karnataka Govt's headed by cms like Sri SM Krishna, and Sri Dharam Singh, MP Late Sri Anantkumar, MLA Late Vijay Kumar, MLA M Krishnappa and host of other friends in building Kashmir Bhavan and helping Kashmiri community in Bangalore.

The Mata Sharda chariot is on its journey to final destination Teetwal through Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jammu, Tikkar and Kupwara.
