Discriminatory Attitude Towards Hindu Religious Places

Jammu All parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) staged demonstration against State Govt. for discriminatory attitude towards Hindu religious places encroached by vested elements at various places in the Valley.
The demonstration was led by APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit who sought full-fledged probe into the matter. The prominent organizations of KPs who supported such demonstration were All State Kashmir Pandit Conference (ASKPC), Kranti Dal (KD), Roots in Kashmir (RIK), Dharmarth Trust Sudhara Sangrash (DTSSS) and J&K Vichar Manch. Sh. Pandit stressed the Govt. to probe into encroachments temple land and properties of KPs in the valley. He also warned the Govt. of serious consequences failed to get free religious places of KPs and the properties encroached by the elements with the help off Land Mafias. He said that KPs had 5000 years old history but Talibanization of State has resulted in massive land grabbing and encroachment of temples at Akingam, Sangam, Handwara, Fathehpore, Verinagm Qazigund, Wanpoh, Naranag. Sathu Barbarshah, MA Road Srinagar, Umanagri. Kralgund Kupwara, Kulgam, Karkut Nag, Sali, Saligam and Sita Haran etc. Speaking on the occasion president of lady wing of APMCC Ms Asha Zaroo said that her organization will issue a white paper of the successive state and central government for making misdeeds in such serious matter.
Addressing the demonstrators Sh. H. L. Chatta, Gen. Secy. of ASKPC said that encroachment of temples in Kashmir was an serious matter as most of the temple properties have been usurped by the land mafia with full support of Government. Giving the examples about the matter he intimated the public about encroachment of Sharda Asthapan at Gund Gochi Kupwara by locals who have grabbed 1 Kannal 15 marlas of land by erasing Revenue records.
Besides other leaders of various KP organizations, who participated into the demonstrations, also spoke on the occasion and demanded that matter should immediately taken up with the State & Central Govt. they also demanded implementation of PM's employment package of KP youths by the State Govt.
