Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch organised its annual flagship programme "Samuhik Shivratri Mohotsav Herath Milan on March 10 evening. Apart from a painting competition for children and cultural program which included mandli singing performances by a group each from Rohini and Faridabad besides a children group, annual awards presented by JKVM were also given away on this occasion. Prabhu Chawla, senior journalist and editorial director of The New Indian Express was the chief guest and gave away the awards.
ShriyabhatKirti Sammaan went to Dr Krishna Bhan, UK and Sh MK Teng) while as Pt. Krishnajoo Razdan Saraswati Sammaan was bestowed upon Smt Advaitvadini Kaul, Sh Avtar Hugami and Sh M L Pandit) Lalitaditya Shaurya Sammaan was given posthumously to Sh Dileep Thusu of J & K police Pt Tika Lal Taploo Memorial Award was given to Ram Krishna Ashram, Srinagar whereas Yashaskar Sammaan for the year went to Vomed Theatre (Rohit Bhat), Athrot Foundation ( Kanwal Peshin) and Kashmin Pandit Sangathan (Reashver)
Speaking on the occasion Prabhu Chawala said that Kashmiri Pandits are Icons of sacrifice and complemented the Kashmiri Pandit community for their Prominent among those who attended the function continued struggle after displacement from Valley He include Prof GK Mujo, senior Journalist and social made observations regarding absence of KP narrative activist King C Bharati, Aryan Ramesh, RK Bhat, Er from national scene, absence of road map and Vinod, Kusum Dhar and others Ramesh Hangloo of reference to vested interests in keeping Kashmir boiling came with a pointed advice that unless KP return issue is made part of solution, Kashmir won't ever normalise and won't be secular He blamed a section of political leadership irrespective of political affiliation for their vested interest in not solving the Kashmir problem
