SRINAGAR, March 18. The National Conference has disfavoured holding of Parliamentary polls in the whole State of Jammu and Kashmir at this crucial time when the people were living under "constant fear of guns and the administrative machinery unable to ensure free and fair election".
Strongly opposing the move of holding elections in other parts of the State and deferring the same in Kashmir Valley, a meeting presided over by National Conference chief Dr Farooq Abdullah in New Delhi stressed that "for election purposes, the entire State should be treated as one unit", party sources said.
