Dear Editor,

I had the priviledge to go through an article "Kus Kas Kari Ath Rote" by Sri Pushkar Nashdhar as it appeared in the issue of February 1991.

The article in addition to being revealing is very apt in the present trying circumstances. I suggest its English translation be published in your next issue for action by our brethren.

While endorsing the thoughts of Mr Nashdhar in totality, I would like our friends and elders to ensure that ostentations and wasteful expenditures are completely done away with for how else can we mobilise mass support of Indians and sympathetic well wishers.

During these trying days, it is necessary for us all to do whatever little we are capable of, for the less fortunate among us.

Priding ourselves as being an intellectual com- munity, time is ripe when typical self criticism should end and our all efforts mobilised to commence a new awakening.
