Our News Folio - From The Capital - MIEF organizes Veer Munshi's solo show

Millenium India Education Foundation, a charitable trust, organised Shrapnel solo show of renowned Kashmiri artist and Lalit Kala Academy awardee Veer Munshi at Latitude Art Gallery, Lado Sarai, from March 6 to 20. The show was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

About the type of the exhibition - the first of its kind-Veer Munshi said that these age-old structures are architectural marvels of the state and need immediate restoration and preservation so that the heritage is successfully passed on to generations to come.

Shapnel, through photographs of houses, abandoned by its occupants, due to mass migration during 1990s, reminds one about the extent of heritage loss the people of the state and the country have experienced due to turmoil in the state.
