1996 11   Our News Folio- Smt. Shakdher gets Teachers Award

Smt Chandra Kanta Shakdher, Principal, Government Composite Model Senior Secondary School, East of Kailash No. 2, has been awarded the Delhi State Teachers Award, 1996 by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Sahib Singh Verma, on the occasion of Teachers Day The Award, consisting of a Silver medal, a Citation and a Shawl, also carried a cheque of Rs. 10,000/-. The Award was conferred in recognition of her meritorious and outstanding achievements in the field of education.

Smt. Shakdher has also been the recipient of the Dr. Radhakrishnan Teachers Award in 1995. Earlier, she was awarded a memento and citation by Shri Rajiv Gandhi, late Prime Minister of India, for the best performance in the Republic Day Parade. Smt.

Shakdher had her early education from Srinagar and did her Masters from Delhi University with distinction.
