Editors Mail - Whether Human Rights?
R C Gadoo
Dear Sir,
What is our Human Rights Commission doing as far as KPs are concerned?
All the Prime Ministers of India since 1989, their Home Ministers together with our Kashmiri leaders as also their Chamchas are supposed to be fully aware of the misfortune suffered by the Kashmiri Pandit community by forcing them out of their homes and hearths. Their left over properties have been looted and ransacked and set on fire, only to make it impossible for them to return as and when there would be peace.
The present Government at the Centre has announced political and financial package for the Kashmiris even in paying cost for every arm and ammunition, they surrender and also offer jobs for them. But no one has the time to see the condition of displaced community living in worn-out tents. Our only fault is that we are true Indians and also Hindus. Muslims and Chritians are proud of being called Muslims and Christians, but in India to be a Hindu is a big sin as Hindus are being treated as political untouchables. Neither the ministers of the previous governments, nor the present government have cared to visit the migrant camps to see the miserable conditions of lakhs of human beings who are waiting for the last seven years to receive justice for the atrocities perpetuated on them by the culprits, who have already been identified but not brought to book. Perhaps our only fault is that we are patriots and belong to a peace loving and self respecting community.
All of them have C.M.P. (Common Minimum Programme) of appeasing some cruelty maltreatment and punishment (C.M.P.) on others and ignoring.
What is the Human Rights Commission doing. Are not the three lakh Kashmiri Pandits, who have been deprived of their properties and rights worthy of their attention?

Yours faithfully
