01-03-1996 Our News Folio   Shri R K Rawal  Presidential Award 

Shri R.K. Rawal, Enforcement Officer, Enforcement Directorate, Central Board of Excise and Customs, has been honoured with the Presidential Award for a distinguished record of service, for the year 1996. The Award was presented to him on the 26th January, 1996.

During his 22 years' service with the Enforcement Directorate, Shri Rawal has shown exemplary devotion to duty and displayed a special flair for investigation work through meticulous examination of documents and dogged hard work. While discharging his duties, he at times even exposed himself to the highest degree of risk to his life

The value of seizures made by Shri Rawal during 1993-95 totalled Rs. 3,24,99,954 in foreign currency, Rs 9,94,41,830 in Indian currency and Rs. 1,90,21,000 in gold.
