01-03-1996 Our News Folio   From The Capital -  White Paper on Kashmir

Joint Human Rights Committee (WA 88. Shakarpur, Delhi-110092), has brought out a "White Paper '' on Kashmir recently, The White Paper, prepared by Dr. M.K. Teng and Shri CL Gadoo, the Co-Chairmen of the Committee, provides a comprehensive account, supported by factual data, about the growth of secessionism in Jammu and Kashmir, its fundamentalisation by the local clergy and the intelligence agencies of Pakistan and, its militarization in the aftermath of the Afghan crisis. The White paper has brought to surface the fact that secessionism in Kashmir is pan Islamic in content and has its roots in the pan Islamic movement in India which led to the partition in 1947. The account of the events during the last four decades provides a poignant contrast to the half truths known to people of India and the whole truth which eventually led to the present Kashmir imbroglio.

The White paper deals in detail with the genocide of the KP community, human rights violations, torture and kidnappings, perpetrated by the terrorists, substantiating the narrative with facts,

The White paper also deals with the misery and displacement which led to the exodus of one community. has caused and the plight to which lakhs of refugees, who have migrated from their hearths and homes in Kashmir, have been exposed.
