Medical astrology is A boon to disease diagnosis, cure

The branch of astrology, or iatromathematics, dealing with disease and medical problems, is

called medical astrology. It is a branch of divine science yotisha, linked to 'eyes' of human system, that has perhaps tremendous practical utility in our lives. 

The popularity of astrology can be guessed from the fact that a wider section of our elite society depends on it for guidance and solution to its problems and apprehensions. The actual disease and its diagnosis requires a lot of research involving medical and astrological expertise since it encompasses a vast and intricate area. It is an art which not only predicts our future health and 'who' as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being

As per medical astrology, various parts of the body, diseases and drugs are under the influence of nine planets, 12 zodiacal signs (houses or raashis) and 27 constellations (nikheshtras) with their action and interaction. Astrological principles come into play right from the day of the conception but as it is difficult to ascertain time and date of conception, reliance is given to date, time and place of birth. The imprint at the time of birth acts as pre-programmed computer genetically controlled and in course of time planets, associated with different positions, emit different intensity of radiations for feeding the computer As time passes, the events take place as programmed. Thus, the combination of planets and other constellations provide a blueprint of human destiny, health and diseases. That can be decoded by the astrologer just like the decoding of genetic information coded in genes. 

Presently, all channels of TV, newspapers and journals exhibit contradictory forecasts for future and most of these fail as these are based on short-cut western notions and so people take astrology as pseudoscience Indian astrology is different, scientific and specific to each individual being based on exact date, time and place of birth involving thousands of combinations, dasha periods etc. for giving proper diagnosis, period and the cure of the malady. There is also proper cure and prophylaxis through astral gem stones etc. Astro-counselling has proved effective in easing psychological, mental, social and domestic trauma as the decree of planets, with a logical interpretation, can give a new lease of life and a positive attitude. Astrologers, with their scientific attitude, availability of up-to-date data, through strong telescopes, electronic gadgets, with sophisticated software, can serve society better than orthodox astrologers who had faulty and incomplete input data. It is possible to diagnose a disease well before its actual appearance in the body and so specific precautions can be taken beforehand.

Medical astrology has not made its impact on the suffering humanity due to various reasons. Only a few books are available on medical astrology and these, except a few, have been mostly written by non-medical astrologers, who know little about human physiology, diseases and their genes. Applying data and interpretations, on the basis of thousands of years old principles without research and modification to the present technology-based scientifically-oriented society is illogical

2. Available literature mentions only some generalised combinations, not applicable to individual birth charts as such.

3. No work has been done on various combinations of modern diseases, their periodicity and treatment as doctors do not know much about medical astrology and astrologers have no knowledge about the medical science.

4. Medical references are available with respect to Ayurveda emphasising vat, pit and kaph, while modern Allopathy is based on entirely different concepts to which old Ayurvedic system cannot be accurately translated

5. The Allopathic system involves research on large scale with modern diagnostic tools and medicines with trillions spent and so it has flourished while no such research and financial involvements are available for medical astrology 

6. Yoga, previously, was regarded as a religious mythological practice for sadhus but now due to scientific research and large-scale involvement of people it has universal approval and has become a part of life to remain fit and healthy Astrology, similarly, has survived despite all objections and medical astrology can be revived and updated to suit modem age problems and make India glorious The western and Chinese astrology are more prevalent at present like Chinese electronic gadgets. These have brought disgrace and superstition to the well documented Indian system of astrology

Astrology is a scientific art, as it is conditioned by accurate input data, calculations, practical experience, initiative and analysis of positive and negative cosmic vibrations and above all, god's given gift to help the suffering humanity There is a divinity that shapes our ends, rough, however, though it be' -as per Shakespeare Newton, himself, was an ardent student of the occult, including astrology. Being a biologist and geneticist, besides astro-gem therapist, a lot of work has been done at our research institute on large number of patients in the last 40 years and a large number of planetary combinations have been worked out accurately and scientifically for diagnosis and cure of diseases. Most of the case histories have been preserved. The data base mostly involves Kashmiri Pandit cases in the post-migration period The study is unique as accurate birth data was available in 99% cases and being very well educated and with the trauma of migration, they all followed directions with the result that accurate output data was maintained. More important was to investigate the suitability of astral gemstones for the treatment of various maladies with their histories and follow up registered. Such a huge scientific work has not been done to my knowledge so far in future, stress will be laid on various combinations, gemstones and other methods.

Here I may mention recent contributions by John Whale by developing electronic gem therapy apparatus many times stronger for treatment of diseases involving low-voltage lamps with lenses and filters and specific gem stones are placed in these lamps. The gem lamps are connected to precision electronic instruments and then emerging light with regulated treatment and vibration rate and focused on the diseased part for cure. It may be mentioned that all these therapies are complementary to the normal Allopathic treatment for quick recovery, wherever possible.

I have been in a position to develop p-fingerprinting or planetary fingerprinting just like DNA fingerprinting in biological areas, to prepare a stroscope of all people including patients, a type of bio-dictionary with numerous combinations of planets depicting physical, mental, social, matrimonial or other chronic health problems. It provides a lot of accurate and scientifically manageable data so that various disturbances, expected in life, can be known. For example, in most diabetic patients conjunction of Sun and Venus in a particular astrological configuration is responsible for the disease and so even after birth depending upon dasha periods one can forewarn about the development of the disease and so precautionary measures can be taken beforehand before it is too late. Similarly, the conjunction of Jupiter, Moon and Ketu, in a particular configuration, shows cancer. The planetary influence works on the metaphysical plane.

Combining the subtle science of genetics with equally subtle influence of stars and planets can provide a unique method of assessing susceptibility to disturbances beforehand so that precautionary and preventive measures can be taken beforehand because pre-warned means pre-armed. Gemstones, gem-medicines, tele-therapy and other alternative and non-drug therapies can be applied and more research can be done to become more accurate. It may be mentioned that Kashmir was once the fountainhead of all such sciences and spiritual healing.
