Kundan Kashmiri, President KPC strongly rebuffed to Dr . Frooq Abdullah, the President NC for his statement that changing names of cities throughout the country is an attempt to change the "pluralistic visage of India and a premeditated attempt to belittle the culture and contribution of Muslims in the country.
Kundan Kashmiri in his strong statement and tweet to Farooq Abdullah and reminded him about the change of various Hindu named places in to Muslim and other names in Kashmir valley during his regime, when Kashmir was also historically a point of convergence of different cultures and the names of different places reflected the pluralistic culture of Kashmir and was known for forbearance, when Kashmiri Pandits were aborigines of Kashyap Bhoomi and have their great contribution in its culture and development. The Kashmiri politicians never bothered that such irrational acts would distance the two communities and would bring bad repute to the celebrated traits and ethos of Kashmir. These politicians never even hesitate to call Ananthnag as Islamabad, Srinagar as Shar--e- Khas, Shankercharya as sulaman teng and Prabhat as Kohiman-e- Maran.
Kundan Kashmiri also lambasted NC leadership for its anti--KP, anti-- people, anti--India and double standard policies and said that earlier they boycotted ULB and Panchyat elections and now showing interest in contesting the coming state assembly elections when they restricted people not to contest of ULB and Panchayat elections, but they them-selves continue to be Parliament and Assembly members.
Kundan Kashmiri asked Kashmiri people to reject the double standard and semi--separatist leaders like Farooq Abdullah and Mehabooba Mufti, shun the violence and not to get misguided and misled.
