Three Civilians Killed In North Kashmir’s Baramulla

In Jammu & Kashmir, three civilians were shot dead by unknown gunmen in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district late this evening.

A senior police spokesman said that the gunmen fired upon the three persons near Iqbal Market Khanpora in the district.

He said the trio sustained serious bullet wounds and died instantly on the spot.

The slain civilians were identified as Asif Ahmad Sheikh, Haseeb Ahmad Khan and Mohmmad Asgar who are all residents of Kakar Hamam in Baramulla district.

After the attack, security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation to nab the attackers.

Police have initiated the investigations into the case. No militant outfit has claimed the responsibility for the killings.
