Modi To Meet Xi Jinping At SCO Summit

Date:- 02 Apr 2018

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the SCO summit to be held in China’s Qingdao on June 9-10 where Pakistan too will participate.

Indian Ambassador to China Gautam Bambawale confimed about this meeting during his interaction with media in Beijing.

He said, “There will definitely be a bilateral meeting between Modi and President Xi Jinping. And before that happens we want to have a lot of other meetings”.

While the diplomats of India and China are busy finalising the agenda and talking points for the meeting between Modi and Jinping, the meeting will take place in the backdrop of renewed relations between the two countries post Doklam standoff last year.

“We will have a whole series of meetings in the next few weeks and months...We are having these meetings to have candid and frank discussions” the Ambassador said.
