Role Of ASKPC In Providing Seats In Technical/ Professional Streams Outside J&K And In Other Social Activities Are As Under:

Soon after migration of KPs from Kashmir, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference to Kashmiri Migrant wards in technical / professional streams outside J&K State. Accordingly Human Resources Development Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India issued notices to various states of the country with the directives to provide seats to KP migrant wards. As such the ASKPC is sending / recommending a large number of such students for the said courses. This year the organization sent more than 500 students to different states for admission in different streams, details of which are given as under:

With regard to accommodation problems at Mumbai, this year ASKPC approached Rashtriya Syam Sewak Sangah and with their cooperation the students who attended the counseling there got free rent accommodation. Only they had to pay rent of bedding for the night at Rs. 50/

The ASKPC team who worked round the clock to make the arrangement a success under the directives of its President A. N. Vashnavi, include R. K. Raina, Sr. Vice President, H. L. Chatta, Gen. Secretary, M. M. Kaul, Secy., B. L. Handoo, Subash Chatta, B. L. Dhar and Rakesh Suri. The ASKPC wishes the youth, who is future of the community, should lead to achieve the goal and stand on his own feet.

ASKPC arranged 8 structures and 6 wheel chairs this year and distributed these to important areas of displaced community for use at emergency times.

Social Religious Activities:

Every year Amar Balidan Trust in collaboration with ASKPC solemnize mass Yagnopavit of poor KP boys and helping poor needy families of the community in arranging marriage ceremonies of their daughters. This year marriages of such three girls have been solemnized according to KP religion. In this connection community Biradari has been appealed to donate whole heartedly by cash or kind for performing such functions.

Construction of ASKPC Bhawan:

The ASKPC has also taken up a big project in hand viz: "construction of ASKPC Bhawan at Durga Nagar, Sector - I, Jammu" plinth of which has been completed. It will be double storey building to accommodate Martand office also. This need full support of the community and the organization hope that the community will help the organization in arranging building material. This will be a sub office of the organization, as its head office is at Sheetal Nath Srinagar, Kashmir.
