Martand Correspondent

Delhi Unit-The working committee meeting of Delhi unit ASKPC -was held on Nov 3, 2009 which reviewed the organizational matters and also took stock of present scenario of J&K State. Reiterating the demand of reviewing the Kashmir policy towards Pakistan as well as to Hurriyat and other separatist groups of J&K State, Kundan Kashmiri said that India has no concrete and transparent policy on Kashmir, but a policy of appeasement towards Kashmiri separatists and fundamentalists who want to associate with Pakistan but to drain India financially for their development and prosperity. He asked both the state and Centre Govts. to define the place and role of Kashmiri Pandits who are first party to Kashmir issue and also first victim of the genocide, ethnic cleansing and persecution at the hands of the terrorists and separatists in Kashmir valley Commenting over the Prime Minister's package to rehabilitate the displaced KP's, he said that the rehabilitation is wider term which comprises of moral, social, ethical and large economic element and to extend some doles as a substance allowances is not all end to what KP Community has lost. He said, can they restore the beach of trust, shaken faith and the by gone days of peace and tranquillity which was spiritual food to our starving minds

He said that state and center Govts. should not draw political mileage out of the tragedy and should give serious thought over this problem. The real rehabilitation and return will mean to carve out "Kashyap Home land" within Kashmir where true Indians could live in perfect peace and harmony, he added.

It was resolved that KP Community totally abhors the concept of self-rule, greater autonomy or separation from India and said that the State of J&K has been and shall be an integral part of India and attempt to separate or weaken it from rest of India will be resisted. The meeting appealed the Govt of India to demonstrate its complete will and capacity to firmly counter all designs against its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity and demanded that Pakistan must vacate the areas of J&K which they occupied at the time of aggression in 1947.

The Meeting Also Demanded:

  1. That the judicial commission headed by Supreme court judge to be constituted to probe the genesis of genocides of Kashmiri Pandits during on going insurgency since 1989-90.
  2. Instead of existing election procedure the displaced KP's should be enabled to participate in electoral process by creating three constituencies in exile till Kashyap Home Land is granted.
  3. KP shrine bill be passed as early as possible with consultation with ASKPC leadership
