Glowing tributes were paid at a special homage paying assembly called jointly by several civil society groups in Jammu on March 1 to the Pulwama Martyrs and all those who sacrificed their lives after Pulwama fidayeen attack and include Aman Thakur, Deputy Superintendent of JK Police, Major Vibhuti Shanker and six IAF personnel who were killed in recent Air crash in Budgam, Kashmir.

Organised jointly by Vishva Kashmiri Samaj, J&K Civil Society, Press Club of Jammu, Team Jammu and Vomed Theatre Group, Global Solace (NGO) the Shradhanjali-Sabha was attended by a cross section of people which included prominent citizens. writers, public intellectuals, social activists, lawyers, doctors and other professional fraternity representatives besides a large section of displaced Kashmiri Pandits from Jagt Nagrota and Purkhoo camps.

At the outset, those who gathered observed two minutes silence followed by floral tributes by all the eminent citizens present in the gathering Sh Kiran Wattal of Vishva Kashmiri Samaj appealed the conscience of the countrymen in general and people of Jammu in particular not to forget huge sacrifice of these brave hearts He informed the people that earlier his organisation had plans to organise Herath program get-together but due to the unfortunate Pulwama fidayeen attack, the program was changed to commemorative program instead

Veteran Kashmir analyst and writer, Dr K N Pandita highlighted the need of remaining all time vigilant to frustrate the evil designs of the enemy within.

President Press Club of Jammu Sh Ashwani Kumar while paying rich tributes to the Martyrs Like in the past the event also saw book releases, underlined the monumental courage of our soldiers discussion, besides a mushaira, exhibition, and award fighting 24x7 on the Indo Pak Borders which he has been privy to while doing coverage of TV News channel during past 22 years.

Chairman Team Jammu Zorawar Singh Jamwal while paying tributes to the Pulwama martyrs cautioned the Jihadi terrorists operating in the Kashmir Valley to pack off herewith or else new resurgent India will leave no stone unturned to eliminate them wherever they would be found taking refuge.

Asgar Ali, former legislator and social activist while paying the tributes said we should remain united and counter any threat from enemy People of Jammu have always maintained communal harmony Pawan Shastri, President, Jammu Yatri Bhawan announced that Yatn Bhawan will organise hawan in the memory of martyrs. Eminent Writer, thinker and PK Convenor Dr Agnishekhar expressed his deep anguish and dismay at the dastardly terrorist act at Pulwama and paid rich tributes to the brave hearts and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families of the Martyrs.

Various artists paid musical tributes to the martyrs by way of singing the patriotic and devotional songs on the occasion. Among others who performed in the commemorative music concert included Kailash Mehra Sadhu Deepali Wattal, Rishabh Dorgee. The special theatrical item based on a Sanskrit Shaiv hymn prepared by Music Director Kuldeep Saproo and choreographed by Akash Dogra The whole program was coordinated and directed by young theatre director Rohit Bhat of Vomed Group while as Sh Pintoo Ji president of Global Solace played a key role in public mobilisation for this Program.
