01-03-1996 Our News Folio Koshur Samachar  - Dr Balji Nath Pandit Awarded Certificate of Distinction

Dr. Balji Nath Pandit, the well known expert on Kashmir Shaivism and a distinguished teacher of Sanskrit at the highest levels in Kashmir, at Shimla and at Jammu, has been awarded at a function in Delhi on Feb 25, 1996 with a Certificate of Distinction as an eminent Sanskrit Scholar by Gyan Kalyan Trust, and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only). It may be recalled that Dr. Pandit was earlier awarded a Certificate of Honour by the President of India in 1986 for his distinction as an eminent scholar of Kashmir Shaivism.
