Army men and cops busted a terror hideout in Gandoh area and seized arms and ammunition on Friday.

After getting intelligence inputs, a police party headed by Gandoh SHO Vikram Singh and soldiers launched a search operation and came across the old hideout in Khasodi Chansar forest.

A UBGL barrel, a grenade, an RPG, 25 electronic detonators and two UBGL accessories were seized. A case has been registered, the police said. The area wherefrom the arms have been recovered is abandoned. The entire forest area has remained highly prone to terrorism in the past when the militancy was at its peak in Doda. A police spokesperson said the arms appeared to have been dumped by militants years ago.
