Police in Kupwara have arrested one terrorist associate and recovered incriminating material, ammunition and cash from his possession. Acting on specific information, Kupwara Police along with 17RR and 160TA established a checkpoint at Reshi Gund Crossing of Village Kralpora. During checking, the joint party have arrested a suspicious person who tried to escape from the spot but was tactfully chased and apprehended by the joint party. He has been identified as Abdul Ahad Lone son of Abdul Gani Lone resident of Gararayal Kupwara. During search, officers were able to recover Incriminating materials, ammunition including 12 grenades 182 rounds of AK-47 and cash Rs.169500/- from his possession. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 30/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kralpora and further investigation is in progress.
