Date:- 11 Nov 2020

Senior BJP leader Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo today said that the introduction of new land laws in the J&K has now completed the total integration of the Union Territory with the rest of the country.
Chrungoo, who is also a Kashmiri Pandit leader was speaking here during a press conference and kick-started it’s “Kashmir Sankalp Yatra” from Srinagar. The yatra, he said, will be resumed after Diwali from Jammu and will include all the sections of J&K.
He said, a fter the abrogation of Article 370 & 35A, followed by the introduction of the new land laws in J&K, the process of integration has completed, and the focus should now be on the development and addressing the unemployment.”
He pointed out that the eradication of militancy from the UT of J&K is very important for the development to begin and that the Government must act firmly against it.
“Development of the UT is linked with complete peace in the UT, and for that, the militancy needs to be eradicated with firmness,” he said.

About rehabilitating Kashmiri Pandits, he said that time has come to take the issue of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits seriously and that there is a need of converting the rhetoric ‘Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Pandits’ into sheer reality.
He demanded an establishment of a Board for all Hindu Religious and Cultural Centers, temples and shrines and also the constitution of a Special Crimes Tribunal “to probe into the excesses committed against the minorities in the state.”
He said these are a prelude to the return of the displaced Pandits to Kashmir valley as per their geopolitical aspirations. He requested the LG Manoj Sinha to take necessary measures in this regard.
“A special drive to lift the tourism and cultural sector in the UT should be the immediate target for the year 2021,” he demanded.
He requested to the centre as well as the Government of the UT to announce a comprehensive package for this sector on a priority basis.
