Pak violates ceasefire

Date:- 06 Nov 2020

The Pakistan army violated the ceasefire thrice on Thursday by resorting to heavy firing and shelling at forward areas and posts in three sectors along the LoC in Poonch district, officials said.

Pakistan also resorted to firing along the IB, targeting hamlets and border outposts in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district overnight, they added.

“At about 5.30 pm today, the Pak army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along the LoC in the Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors in Poonch district,” a Defence spokesman said here. He said the Indian Army mounted a befitting retaliation. — PTI
