Two Army officers injured in LoC explosion in Rajouri

Two Army men, including a Major, were injured in an explosion, probably a mine blast, along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector area of Rajouri district.

Official sources said the explosion took place in a forward location of Nowshera sector on Thursday, in which a Major and a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) sustained injuries.

“An Army Major and a JCO were injured when they probably, though inadvertently, stepped on to a landmine in Nowshera. They were on a patrol in a forward area,” sources said.

The duo has been shifted to Command Hospital in Udhampur for treatment. Their condition is stated to be stable.
