Amritsar soldier killed in firing along LoC in J&Ks Nowshera

Naib Subedar Rajwinder Singh was a "brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier

An Indian Army soldier lost his life after Pakistan Army resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation on the line of control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera Sector.

 

"Own troops responded strongly to the enemy fire. In the incident, Naib Subedar Rajwinder Singh was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries," Lt Col Devender Anand, PRO (Defence) Jammu said.

The soldier who was killed was identified as Naib Subedar Rajwinder Singh from Goindwal Sahib village in Amritsar's Khadur Sahib tehsil. "Naib Subedar Rajwinder Singh was a brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty,"the Defence PRO said. Agencies
