President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack in Pulwama district and said the entire nation stands united in the fight against the forces of terror and evil. He also wished speedy recovery of those injured in the attack. “Strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Pulwama, J&K. Thoughts and prayers with the families of martyrs and wishing an early recovery to those injured. The entire nation stands united in the fight against the forces of terror and evil,” he tweeted. The US has condemned the terror attack in Pulwama district and said it stands along side India in defeating terrorism.
“The US Mission in India strongly condemns today’s terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir. We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims,” US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster tweeted.
The US stands alongside India in confronting terror and defeating it, he said.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has said the “cowardly” terror attack will not go unpunished and it will be avenged in “all way possible”.
Rijiju’s statement came hours after the terror attack.
“We will definitely give befitting response to this cowardly attack. It will not go unpunished. We will avenge in all way possible,” Rijiju, union minister of state for home, said in a tweet.
