Two jawans injured as Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC in Uri sector of J&K

Pakistani troops resorted to ceasefire violations in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Wednesday, leaving two soldiers injured, according to officials.

An official said the ceasefire violation took place in Kamalkote along the Line of Control in the Uri sector. “Pakistani troops opened fire at Pather Mosa, housing an Army post, on Wednesday morning,” said the official.

An official said the Army also “retaliated to the firing in equal measure”.

The two injured soldiers were identified as Sepoy Dupo Vesu Nath and Naik M. Willan of the 8 Rashtriya Rifles. “Both were shifted to a hospital,” said the official.
